I. Overview
NordArt, one of Europe’s largest contemporary art exhibitions, is now accepting registrations. In 2013, artists from 93 countries applied to participate in this prestigious event.
The NordArt Exhibition 2014 is scheduled to take place from June 7 to October 5, 2014, in Büdelsdorf, Germany. The exhibition will be held in a former foundry in Carlshütte, covering an expansive 22,000 m2, as well as ACO Wagenremise (400 m2) and an 80,000 m2 sculpture park. Some artworks will also be displayed in other public spaces within cities.
Artworks from various fields such as drawing, graphics, photography, video, sculpture, objects, installations, and more are eligible for participation. To enter the contest, you can submit your entries by mail, email, or by registering online.

II. How to Participate
If you wish to participate in the NordArt Exhibition 2014, make sure to follow these steps:
- Deadline: The registration deadline is 12/15/2013.
- Contest Fee: There is no fee to enter the contest.
- Registration Options: You can register online or send your registration by post or email.
To register online, complete the following 3 steps:
- Fill out your personal information and upload your CV in either a Word file or PDF format.
- Choose the field(s) in which you wish to compete, such as drawing, sculpture, installation, painting, etc. You can select more than one field.
- Upload up to 10 files (maximum 2 MB per file) containing photos of your artworks that could be exhibited at NordArt. The photos must be in JPG, GIF, PNG, or PDF format. Remember to include a short paragraph with detailed information about each artwork.
Once you submit your registration, our system will automatically send you an email confirming receipt. If you do not receive the email, please resend your entry.
For registrations sent by post or email, follow these instructions:
- Download the registration form from the official website in either PDF or Word format.
- Prepare a CV about yourself.
- Select around 10 photographs of your artworks that could be displayed in the exhibition. Remember to label each photograph with the title, year taken, technique, and size. Please note that you should not send original photographs, as the works will be displayed in the NordArt catalog and will not be returned.
- Send your application by post to the NordArt office at Kanalblickk 26, 24814 Sehestedt, Germany. Alternatively, you can email your application to application@kunstwerk-carlshutte.de.
III. Prize
One artist will be awarded the NordArt Prize, worth 10,000 euros, in support of art and culture. For more information about the competition, please visit the official website of NordArt International Exhibition 2014.
