Are you an aspiring artist with a passion for stamps? Caravansarai invites you to showcase your creativity in the ASEAN Community Seal Design Contest. This exhilarating contest gives you the chance to design a stamp representing the ASEAN community and be part of a remarkable regional initiative. So, let your imagination soar, and be a part of history!

The Birth of the ASEAN Community

In 2015, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) established the ASEAN Community, marking a significant milestone in its journey of unity. The ASEAN Charter, implemented on December 15, 2008, laid the foundation for this ambitious endeavor. It outlined the three pillars of the ASEAN Community: the Political-Security Community, the Economic Community, and the Sociocultural Community.

To celebrate the birth of the ASEAN Community, member countries agreed to issue a unique set of stamps with the theme “A Vision, an Identity, a Community.” Thailand Post proposed this idea during the 19th ASEAN Postal Business Conference in Siem Reap, Cambodia, in 2012. This collective effort aims to foster a sense of belonging and unity among the people of ASEAN.
